Insight & Challenge
DHS’s Center for Prevention Programs & Partnerships (CP3) name and purpose have changed rapidly over the last two decades, making it not as well known to the general public. In addition, much of CP3's existing materials are reports and other multi-page documents, which make it difficult for its target publics to quickly learn about and engage with the government entity. Our goal was to find a digestible means of communicating the positive work CP3 has been doing in the targeted violence and terrorism prevention space.
Solution
Targeted violence and terrorism prevention (TVTP) is a complex topic that is difficult to distill. To make the content more approachable, we created a series of talking-head videos, interviewing folks in the prevention space ranging from DHS officials, to private pracitioners, to students. Results
Since the launch of these videos, video views have, on average, made up 10%+ of CP3 total website visits. Two of these videos were presented at the Eradicate Hate Global Summit to thousands of people from around the world. This served as an opportunity to connect practitioners to the breadth of resources and network the government can provide.
My Role
I brainstormed video topics, co-wrote scripts, provided art direction for b-roll and color grading, and lead video post-production.
